Our Southern Corfu Jeep Safari is designed especially for guests staying in the southern part of the island. The adventure begins in the popular summer resort of Moraitika, where our private group of up to six guests is picked up, and the journey sets off.
Right from the start, your guide will introduce you to Corfu’s rich cultural background, including the stories of Saint Spyridon, the Venetian legacy, the 4.5 million evergreen trees, and the off-road route we’re about to follow.
Tour Highlights:
Chlomos Village – Short Walk & Breathtaking Views
Our first stop is the 13th-century village of Chlomos, perched on a hilltop with sweeping views over southern Corfu. You’ll stroll through narrow alleys lined with blooming balconies and admire its distinct Venetian architecture. Here, you’ll enjoy traditional Greek coffee, paired with a mysterious local “magic liquid” known only to Corfiot villagers.
Olive Groves & Traditional Villages
We then head off the beaten path, venturing through a landscape dominated by ancient olive groves, which cover 70% of the island. As we wind through hidden southern villages, you’ll get a glimpse of life untouched by mass tourism.
Lake Korission – Tranquil Nature Stop
Next, we visit Lake Korission, a protected Natura 2000 site known for its unique ecosystem and biodiversity. Adjacent to the stunning Halikounas Beach, this serene lagoon is home to flamingos, cormorants, ducks, and countless butterflies, depending on the season—making it a dream for nature lovers and photographers alike.
Olive Oil Tasting at “The Governor”
In Agios Matthaios, we stop at the award-winning Governor’s Olive Mill, run by the Dafnis family. Here, you’ll enjoy a premium tasting of the world’s first health-certified olive oil, rich in antioxidants and celebrated internationally—even featured at Harrods in London.
Pentati Village – Traditional Lunch
Our final stop is the charming mountain village of Pentati, where you’ll be welcomed by Sofia, who will prepare a delicious traditional meal. Enjoy local delicacies like oven-baked moussaka, paired with house wine and panoramic views over the endless blue of the Ionian Sea.
